:3 Thanks so much! The trick to one layer working is to tell yourself before you even start that you are going to do it on one layer It also depends though on what you plan to do, if I had to make a background or some other content they would each be on another layer.
Thanks again for the comment It's also strangely refreshing being able to go all out on just one layer.
I honestly didn't even realize right away that it was digital - it looks so much like a pen sketch lol. This is really, really well done; the grain of the lines is nice and consistent, and texturing is beautifully done [it looks so realistic!], and I adore the way you did the shading of the eye sockets.
It came out spectacularly! I used to attempt layering when I did pen portraits way back, but it never came out nearly as nicely as this. I actually miss doing black and white pen sketches and etchings and whatnot... I should take up doing that again.
I forgot to ask you before, what program do you use?
Very happy that you like it. Yeah I also do it on pen too but it takes forever and Im always so scared to take traditional work further cause I keep thinking im gonna ruin it xD.
You should! Do whatever makes you feel good, I stopped creating art when I started uni but now I've made the time to do it every day or two and I just can't live without it xD I also can't help pen doodling in classes haha.
Uhm, my digital works from "Day 19" and below are made with Paint Tool Sai, and everything from "Day 20" and above is purely Photoshop
