Day 30 - Bobcat Lynx Study by ShaneProcrastinates Day 30 - Bobcat Lynx Study by ShaneProcrastinates
Heya!

Tried something new this time again :D! Individually created every single stroke while drawing by eye with this as a reference :)

This was made using Photoshop. Click Image to view a higher quality version.

As usual, it's all on one layer :)

(Update: added more white)

Thanks for viewing! Hope you enjoy it!

Whoa the amount of details you put on this once again o.o Omg them fur \o / Great job again Shane!! And it's so hard to believe this is done digitally because it looks so much like a traditional work, it's awesome! I could never sketch like this be it digitally or traditionally \o /

Thanks :D Well, it's a step by step process that you have to come to terms with.
Any mistake that you make you just roll with, put a line in the wrong place? Just keep on working and go over it with more paint.
I usually just start off with creating my lineart and then work on top of it and build line upon line and colour upon colour all in 1 layer (In this case 50 shades of grey, sorry for the pun ._.)

So for instance, if you wanted to draw a sea-cow you would use your 1 layer and draw your basic linework, and then keep working on the same layer until satisfied.
Since it's one layer, if you need to erase anything later it's really hard cause you erase the entire part, this is where you just have to roll with any mistakes you do xD
It's quite nice because it allows you to work without any boundaries, if you mess up keep working cause it doesn't matter!

Hope that helps xD You can ask anything, I don't mind. :) Never be scared!
